Entering the game server

  When I try to enter the game server I get the message "Game server isn't avalible" and I would like to know why.
I downloaded the game last week and I tryed since then every day but it never worked.
Please help me because I heard that the game is nice from my friends.

You may need to read the part of sticky post: -> Firewalls, routers, and proxies. Check settings of your personal firewall (if You have installed any) and/or settings of your router. If You haven't control over those settings, ask your administrator or ISP to allow traffic according to the description linked above. Thank you for replying so quickly.
I checked my firewall ( I am using Norton internet security 2005 ) and the game is allowed. I tryed turning off my firewall and antivirus and it still has the same problem.
Do you know anything else that i could do?

What kind of internet connection have You ? Have You any hardware router/firewall between the computer and internet ?

EDIT:
Ah. One of recent posts reminded me something. Make sure You have downloaded last version of Planeshift, which is 0.3.015.

  I don't have the latest version, I have version 0.3.014, downloaded fron torrents. I'll get the latest version and tell you tomorrow if I resolved the problem.

  Thank you that was the problem. I started the game that way and it worked.
