You are not running the correct version of PS for this server

I didn't want to start a new thread for this, since it's really the same problem alot of people here seem to be having. I'm really hoping someone can help me with this.

I downloaded the patch, and still get the notice when I try to log on that I am not running the correct version for the server.

I have:
Checked to see that psclient.exe is not running in the background.
Downloaded and unzipped the patch to my Planeshift folder.
Uninstalled Planeshift, then reinstalled Planeshift and the patch after restarting my computer.
Not run the updater (Do I need to run it, or is the warning not to run the updater still in effect?)

I am not having the password problem that some people seem to be having.

I tihink I've done everything we've been advised to try, and I'm still gettnig the "incorrect version" message.

I don't think I've missed anything, but does anyone have any suggestions as to what else I can try?

It seems you have done everything right.
There are only 2 things i might suggest.
1. Make sure you have uninstalled everything corectly.
    Use the uninstaller, then delete the folder completly, then reboot and install, then apply the patch.
2. use the search to see if by chances you have installed a copy in a different location.
    I have always used a seperate folder for my games, but for some reason this patch dosent like to be anywhere else than the default folder.
oh and 3. if you use a desktop icon, right click on it, select properties, check the target folder and make sure it is using the proper "psclient.exe"

other than that i have no clue

If you have WinZip installed (and you should, by default), then just open the patch .zip and you will see a list of files in a window. Select all those files, and then drag them into your main PS folder.
