I broke /unstick
« on: July 11, 2006, 08:31:36 pm »
To a GM: Could you move my char 3 feet forward plz? The reason that I don't want to use /die is my char got there by falling an almost iimpossibly long distance without dying (almost the whole height of the Laanx Dungeon!), so /die would be an injustice (and a bit of a waste of IG time).
To the Devs:  Could you fix /unstick so it moves characters forward/sideways/backwards and not up when they are stuck on a ledge or shelf feature?  This is the spot in particular that gave me trouble (/unstick simply dumps my char back to where she is in the SS):

What /unstick does is to move you back to the last saved location assuming that the last saved position is valid and good enough. If you fall long distances, the last saved location would be in the air and that's where /unstick moves you.

You should die by falling these heights and if you didn't and got stuck, /die is justified ;)

If you ask a GM to teleport you just because you don't want to use /die, you may find yourself teleported to the Death Realm :P We only teleport or slide when someone is stuck in game geography and no other commands are available.
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.
