Hardware acceleration? New videocard time?
« on: July 16, 2006, 08:31:27 pm »
Hey, I used to play during Molecular blue but left because the whole gem hunting thing was getting old...anyway, i come back and I see a new version is out so I TRY to download it, after dealing with other problems, i finally get in the game...and I am told that I have no hardware acceleration, even though in Molecular blue i had worse video cards and stuff.

My current video card is:

NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200

Version 4.34.20.42.00

Do I need to update? Or do I need to get a better video card in general (that is what I THINK I need to do)

That's the card I have :P

You should make sure you have the latest drivers - I think this is the problem here.
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

It isn't old. it's _prehistoric_, just as my GF 6600 accompanied by an even weaker CPU
