OK, I've had trouble getting the updater to work, it appears to be somewhat bugged... so I went to download the Zipped file from the PLaneshift Site, 015patch...
The download was fine, and I copied the file into the Planeshift folder, however whn it came to the extraction, the files could not be created inside the folder as the folder is read-only... there is no way to change the read-only status of the folder, as when i change it to not read-only it simply resets itself as read only... I presume this is to stop people editing the Planeshift files on their PC, effectively hacking the game... However, this means I am unsure where to save these files, as I can find no other Planeshift folder... what am i doing wrong?

I am using WinRAR extraction
all the files that cannot be created are .dll files
they all say access is denied
