Joining a guild and the report command?

I really want to join a guild, but I don't know if it's rude to go up to some random in a guild and go:

"OMG CAN I LYKE JOIN YOUR GUILD?!!!"

Okay, maybe not like that, maybe even:

"Greetings, I am looking for a guild to help me around here - may I join yours."

I just don't want to say it. Can anyone help me to join a guild or something? Ill post my character name if you need it.

The report command? When you /report playername someone, does it log the harassment they just commited, or whatever they do after that?

When I was ready to take the step of joining a guild I first checked out the guild section of this forum and found one to my liking.  So I read up a little on it and then took note of who I could contact ingame and in a short period of time I found myself a member (really an apprentice but close enough).  I suggest you try something similar.

It reports last 50 lines from the chat histroy and then keeps reporting for the next 5 minutes. The player who you reported gets a big warning that he/she was reported to GMs and hopefully stops the harassment.
