trouble actually stating it

i have installed it but everytime i try to launch it form eh screen wehre it asks for e-mail and password, it says i need to update. so i do update it and then it says there is no more updates, so i try to login again and it says i neeed to update it again.....what do i  do?

nope. i tried   restarting and launching it adn then updating it and it still cant launch but i did see (cant cnnect to mirrir2 !).

please help

I apologise if you have done this already, but it is important to check that you have installed, patched and updated the game in this exact order.

Just to be safe, follow these steps, regardless of what you have already done:

1. Uninstall Planeshift and delete the folder it created in Program Files (by default it will be in C:\Program Files\PlaneShift)
2. Install from the setup file. Once it is installed, do not update yet.
3. Reboot.
4. Download and apply the patch: http://66.111.255.12/~psmirror/015patch.zip
5. Now you may run the Updater.

Please do this and then let us know if you are still having problems. It would be a great help to us if you give us your system specs, including your OS.

Hi, dusk33 again.
Looks like I'm not the only one having major probs here.
Listen Mods, Admin and other staff, Thanks anyway for trying to help but I did everything all over again and am still having problems either Creating a character or actually starting the game so I guess I'll give up too. It's a shame as I really wanted to play this game. Anyway to everyone who can actually to play then keep having fun (while I sob on my pillow).

If you have a moment, can you describe to us the problems you are running into since our last suggestion? (Which was uninstalling and removing everything, and reinstalling the download from a good mirror where you don't skip anything during installation. Did it work? Did you manage to patch and update afterwards?)
