as mentioned before .. GuildPoints are an abstract Value .. they represent knowledge, members, size, effort, work .. in all matters the status of a Guild, while money only represents the treasury of a Guild. A Guild may be small, with only a few members and therefore a small amount of Money .. but as they run a lot of Roleplaying Events and progress much in Planeshift and Yliakum they may have a lot GuildPoints.
These GuildPoints may be used to "buy" a status or an area for their GuildHome inside of Planeshift or maybe just to represent a ranking. Also those GuildPoints may be used to award other Guilds with points just for the purpouse of Roleplaying. Money could be used to buy Armors and Weapons .. but theses stuff is not realy needed for Roleplaying. So the GuildPoints are much more a sign of active work and play in Planeshift, while Trias only will represent the amount of taring, Looting and those stuff.
