checking the mac forums down a few, may be a better direction.
but you most likely will have to update.

Hi
There is a whole Board of PS Forums for the Mac OS X Client of PlaneShift:
http://hydlaa.com/smf/index.php?board=32.0
Read the Sticky Threads in the Important Topics Section:
http://hydlaa.com/smf/index.php?topic=18245.0
http://hydlaa.com/smf/index.php?topic=14903.0
http://hydlaa.com/smf/index.php?topic=14416.0
The three links to these sticky threads are the main ones to read
The file you have downloaded should be: Planeshift_CBV0.3.015.macosx.dmg but the current version of the PS Client is 0.3.016 so you'll have to run the psupdater.app file to get this latest version which matches the version that is on the main server.
Have you created an account yet? If not, go to the Main PlaneShift website and create one. You must do this first and get that process over and done with before running the Client.

- running PlaneShift Mac OS X Tiger (10.4.11) Client, on an Apple iMac G5 2GHz PowerPC processor, 2GB DDR SDRAM, an ATI Radeon 9600 graphics card with 128MB VRAM, a 20-inch active-matrix LCD widescreen display, and a 250GB Serial ATA hard drive... so what's your excuse, huh?
