hey i downloaded this game yesterday and im ahveing such a great time geting errors so far the game has succesfuly started 0 times now that is down right good stuff i posted in tech help forums and what do ya know NOBODY ANSWERS thanks for a 14 hour learning experince in how bad games can get its nice to know some games out there dont even make it to the loading screen, and befor all you people start flaming know that i have read damn near every post in tech help i uninstalled and reinstalled the game countless times (more than 30) updated i EVEN downloaded an older version of game and updated that verson and poof nothing my comp pass's the recomended requirments all my drivers are up to date just fine and i get an error nobody knows about...to gms, make sure you know what the damn problem is befor you release a game all you doing is taking up HD space on my comp so now to delete and never return to a game that wont ever make it off beta testing gl guys may i recomend a game that works next time

There are multiple things wrong with your post and your mindframe. Let me help you sort them out.

1) We don't allow cursing in these forums. I have fixed your post for you.
2) This is a game in open development, and this is mentioned all over the place, the tech help forum especially.
3) We are not going to "release" a game - you are the testers of this project, and it is your job to find bugs and errors, and report them.
4) GMs are "Game Moderators" in a sense and do not actually work on developing the game. That is the task of the development team.
5) We do not live on these forums, 24/7, nor do we always have an immediate answer to everyone's problems.
6) May I recommend that you read a little more before starting a beautiful post on all the things that you don't like about a game at version 0.3
7) Punctuation makes reading posts a lot more easy on the eyes. Please be curteous.

your right on all accounts i am actualy sorry for most of what i say, gm's are not the devolopers of the game correct but they are in charge of servers and issues that arise within that, i know u dont live on servers but 14 hours all i got was 1 fairly smart person that tried to help and one retard that dident even read the post just posted some random crap... the "help" section  for the most part dident help me at all, the layout of the site im sorry to be blunt is a little poor and un organized it seems more to me like the gm's developers worked on a deadline more than on the "realness" of the game so sorry for offending you but its a little disconcerting to sit at a comp for a long time trying everything to get a game to work and absolutly nothing changed then when i finaly go to "post new topic" tab i get no help at all.

GMs are not in charge of the servers - that is the job of server admins. The job of a GM consists in settling in-game disputes and running events for the most part. The problem you are having is moreover not a server issue.

Do not call anyone who tries to help you a "retard." Not only is it incredibly rude, you make people avoid helping you entirely because they feel they're just going to be insulted. Why not try a "Thanks but that didn't work" or "I've already tried that." If you want respect, you have to give it.

Why don't you return to your thread and post a reply after Laragorn's, because my immediate thought is too that your drivers need updating.

and yes that is the "retard" i was talking about i already said "my drivers are fine" and he said update them...one reason i say he dident even read post, second shutting down all non-essintion process's well i do that anyways to lower system stress and keep vertual memory happy becouse i play so many games as stated in inital post i play 15+ diffrent games daily. But if you HAVE to shut down everything just to run this game then either 1 your comp sucks or 2 this game is messed up where it cant run with other programs or 3 your comp realy sucks.

you're use of the term retard is offensive to many a people, I highly advise you listen to Karyuu's words, and your drivers may be 'fine' for everything else you play, but we've had some peculiar bugs in the past, yet again, remember how early in development this is, and finally, maybe your computer does suck.

If I may add on to Karyuu's list:

7.  If you tried installing 0.3.015 and did not install the patch before attempting to update, then no amount of updating would have worked.  It had a problem updating which required a patch to fix first.  Installing an older version of anything is rarely a good idea (moreso in the case of PlaneShift) since bugs in previous versions are probably fixed in newer ones.

8.  This costs you nothing but your time.  It is FREE and nobody is getting paid at any level of involvment from the developers to the admins to the GM's to the forum moderators and certainly not the players that are taking the time to at least try to help you.

I'm closing this thread because it really serves no purpose and started off as a way to provoke people. I've posted a reply in your Tech Help thread, so please take a look at it and answer back, kindly I would prefer, and with some periods and comas because those can be a blessing sometimes.

Give people time to respond - 14 hours is not that long, and you need patience here. This isn't a game you can just do a click-click-click on and enjoy for as long as you want. There are bugs and problems, and though we are always here to help, it's not a phoneline you get immediate answers on.
