I got some nasty emails from planeshift???

I did not like thos emails I got from planeshift! I hope this is not some joke..... Why did I get emails like that and PMs? Has this happend to anyone eles? I'm Not going to bother talking or showing what I recived, I'm just saying I did not like it!

With the little information that you provide it is hard to even know where to start to fix it. If it is indeed the link neko post above, well we all got them and it wasn't planeshift that sent them. Blaming them isn't fair, and you should take a look at who really sent it. The mods acted fast on these Pm's and deleted them from everyones account.

If it wasn't the posted link above then I really can't see why you would get nasty emails from planeshift? None of the mods or dev's here are like that, and are all respectable people. If they had an issue with something you posted or something you did in game they would pm you or approach you in game explaining the problem. Then would give you salutions on how to fix the problem or give you warnings to stop. I can't beleive for one minute that they would be super nasty about it though.

If it's a link to gay-porn... then it's because of some idiot who came on the forums and spammed a load of people.

As Zorbels stated... it's not the PS devs/etc fault and they did act immediately (from what I could see) to try to fix the problem.

The response to the attack on the forum was practically instantaneous.  Numerous measures have been adopted to protect the community from future attacks.

It's most likely what neko posted a link to, and the reason for the mails could be that your mail wasn't hidden at the time he was spamming those nasty pm's and mails.

Please inform me right away if you are getting any more of these.  We have placed numerous measures in place to prevent this from happening any more so I need to know if even more things need to be put into place.   

I did some more research on this and this person ( or people ) having been hitting SMF boards all over the place using the same tatics.
