I think that right now is a good time for another Dev Appreciation thread.  Things get pretty intense around here - things are said that people don't really mean, and I think people even forget why they're here sometimes.  We're here to socialize with people we've become fond of.  We're here to use the project as a creative outlet.  Most of all though, we're here to have fun.  But none of this would be possible through Planeshift if it weren't for the developers and their tireless dedictation.

I (and I know I'm not alone) want to again thank the devs for putting so much of their spirit and creative energies into this project and community, and I want to thank the devs and game masters for putting up with people like myself.  I think special thanks should go to Karyuu.  To me, Karyuu represents the heart of the Planeshift project.  She's probably the most public figure of the developement team because of the constant contact she has with players old and new through the forums.  She puts up with a lot of crap and yet she stays here, donating her time to the project despite how rarely it seems that gratitude is shown by the playerbase.  I know that all the developers have made sacrifices for the project, but Karyuu is the face players see most often on behalf of the team.  She also does such work where no one sees it, often without thanks or praise.  I think it shows a real love and passion for the project and I think, though others should be recognized as well, she should be recognized for what she's done and continues to do.

Here are links to some appreciation threads of the past.

*Matt, with a small purple-robed man on his shoulder.*

Yada yada, yay devs you rule, yada yada.

I agree with the part about Karyuu, though. She puts up with a lot for our sakes. Besides, she's by far more attractive than the rest of the devs. We should make her into a godess, in-game. Kudo's for Kary.

Personally I think that the best way to show your appreciation to the devs is to find and report bugs. And the best way to show your appreciation for the moderators is to strive to limit the amout of work they are required to do.
Of course I don't suppose a great big

You, Sir, are wrong! At worst it is a Gold asterisk as I input a custom web color -- Gold   -- into the color tag. See this if you doubt me.
Anyway ...

Seeing as that is your only objection to my post I expect that you are otherwise in agreement with the sentiments expressed in my post and, indeed, the thread itself.
