Problems with connection to server at character creation.

When I log into the game, I have no real problems right away. I can get started with the character creation, but after a certain amount of time, it disconnects me from the server, and says to try again in 5 minutes. At first, I thought this was a problem with the server, until I checked the status at fragnetics. It is showing a steady number of players at around 100, with no real drops that would show any instabilities like I am experiencing. I first noticed this about 4 hours ago, and waited to see if anyone else would post about server issues, but no dice so far. I have tried reinstalling, and also have tried reconnecting to the game, but every time, I get booted after a few minutes in the character creation screen.

Also, when I tried PS yesterday, it ran fine. I did not finish character creation, but I did take my time looking through everything, and had no disconnects at all.

I have a few other small problems, but I am attributing them more to the 'tech demo' stage of development the game is in, and see no real reason to make a fuss about them.

I would greatly appreciate any help, and look forward to seeing you all in Planeshift once I can get it working.

               OS: Windows XP Media Center Edition (I'm pretty sure, but may be wrong...)
               Processor: AMD Athlon 64 3800+ (2.4~ ghz)
               Memory: 1024 MB RAM (958 exact)
               Video: NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE (256~)

If any more information is needed, send me a PM or post telling me what is required. I wasn't really sure what could cause this on my computer, since it is brand new as of the 13th of this month.

The internet has been a bit wonky this week.  Bad worm going around. today was the firstday since the begining of the week that I've had a decent internet connection.  I was experiencing a few drop outs yesterady, but today I'm fne.  Try giving it a day or so to see if it gets better.

That's funny, because I am incountering the same problems on my account too!   Isn't the Game Masters supposed to read these? I think I reported a bug about a day ago and then someone just showed me this post! What the hell is going on?

People don't live on the forums, Haseo - if waiting a day is driving you crazy, you're going to have a very hard time here in general. This is an incomplete game with many technical problems, and you will have to deal with them as best as you can until we offer fixes. Now please check the responses posted in your own thread.

That's funny, because I am incountering the same problems on my account too!   Isn't the Game Masters supposed to read these? I think I reported a bug about a day ago and then someone just showed me this post! What the hell is going on?

Don't even start on the Gm's. We are here to police the game but sometimes we don't have all the answers. You will have to wait till someone comes along who does know an answer to this problem, and this may take some time or it could happen in a second. It's called patience. Learn it please.

Well, I decided to try out PS again now, and am still having the same problem. It seemed to take a while to happen this time, but I think this is just because my connection to the server is unstable. Judging by the player count, this seems to be on my side. I will try again later after I finish the download I just started, and see if it's any better.

Would appreciate any suggestions on what could be causing this, and I will post any extra information that is needed.

Just as a check/reminder - if you have a firewall or router, enable port 7777 for server Laanx :]
