No zoom-out limit...
« on: May 22, 2005, 08:53:50 pm »
I\'ve stumbled upon something interesting.  The \"Third Person Follow\" camera view allows you to zoom in or out with shift-click (default).  It doesn\'t seem to have any sort of limit...

Here are a few good shots:

By turning off the camera\'s collision detection, you can even get good looks inside/underground.  A limit should simply be put on this feature to prevent cheating.  (It does allow for some pretty pictures, though.  :) )

I especially like that first one, excellent angle. I\'d like that even more than the old hydlaa screenshot when the game is loading.

It\'s a neat glitch, I hope they don\'t fix it before the mac client gets fixed, I\'d love to take some screenshots.

Congratulations. Judging from your screenshot, the world actually is round :)
The internet is "the terrorists'" most important weapon, they say.
Wrong.
Fear is their most important weapon.
Ours is our freedom.

yup, I think just about everyone knows how to get out there by now ;)

Does give a lovely view though :)
