About rain/fog/whatever other weather effect. This spring me and Magodra has worked in order to accomplish the majority of the fixes. Back then, the system was working (the snow with automatic weather was a bit strange, as effect, but working), with exception of few cases of fog.
With the latest release, CS has changed a lot effects and I am not sure something hasn't got touched in the months I have been absent in the weather manager that would justify a crash.
So, the automatic system was supposed to be working. However, it hasn't been used since it was fixed, as far as I know. So, the only way to have weather today is to have some GM producing it.
As soon as I will get time (probably in a couple of centuries, if it continues like this) I will countercheck that everything is still working.
As far as I have tested, these kind of effects (rain and fog) are supposed to work also on pretty "old" graphic cards (not from First World War, though).
