Weapons
« on: December 26, 2006, 05:06:11 am »
I believe similar topics have come up repeatedly but here it is.

1. Why are daggers said to be the best weapon so far

2. I'm thinking of training in mostly melee but will its future weapons (iron fist, etc) have about the same base damage as othere weapons? (swords, spears, not daggers or axes, etc) I've already heard it all depends on skill levell and your statistics.
And it doesn't say much in teh manual

3. Do weapons in the same category have same base damage? (for instance claymore and saber)

4. Will the game allow the possibility of all weapons able blessed in the future?

Thanks

All weapons are different right now, there are also many many unique weapons (blessed ones are an example of this) out there with better or worse properties than the normal type you get at Harnquists. Balancing of weapons to make sure daggers aren't the best anymore but all are more or less equal with the same level of skill will happen somewhere in the future. Don't expect this any time soon. As this is a roleplaying game and not a game where you have to be the best, I suggest just go with whatever weapon your character likes best. Every weapon becomes deadly when you train hard enough.

I believe similar topics have come up repeatedly but here it is.

1. Specifically, the 'silverweave' dagger is considered the best in the game so far. It cuts through n00bs like a hot knife through butter, but it's sell-your-first-born-child rare.

2. I'm not so sure what you mean by 'base damage', but at least in future all weapons will (or at least should) be ultimately even in power (i.e. the advantages and disadvantages tailor up)

3. What do you mean by 'base damage'?

4. I'm sure.
