Blank Screen
« on: January 13, 2007, 07:26:13 pm »
My problem is after I login, When I start to create a new character (my first character) the screen goes blank durring the part when picking a race. Any help would ge sweet.

Here is some information on my system:
Windows XP
Pentium 4 3.2GHz (2 CPUs)
1024mb RAM
DirectX 9.0c
Radeon 9700pro AGP (128mb)

I really would like to try this game.

Thanks~

Have you tried updating your video drivers? :>
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

I just upgraded my video drivers and still cuts out. THe problem is not just the vidoe cutting out the sound goes out as well. Durring creating a new character it seems that the system locks up.

Have you tried updating your video drivers? :>

*edit*

I have no problems running WOW or EQ. What could this game not like that I have?

which doesn't answer the question.

but, it is a step that has been known to resolve a great many problems.

almost a identical system to me except the gfx card and i to have had a similair prob, turn of fast writes in bios if you can if not download rivatuner and turn it of that way, if that dont help you might need to let your ram run on a lower mhz if you can that is, i had to and now this system is more or less stable... annoying but i can play  :whistling:

tho before all this try and put vertex buffer objects to on in the setup
