Updater reverts game to old version (3.17)

Ok first post so bear with me.

I installed the new version (3.18) and played a couple of times, and than decided to check if the updater is working again.

Well it does but uperently it reverts you back to the old Version (3.17).

Is there anyway to undo this or do I have to reinstall 3.18?

Never run the updater, something's always wrong with it. Just install the game.

sorry but you have to reinstall and do not run the updater v018 has not been uploaded to the mirrors yet

*edit* - It might be a good idea to keep the mirrors offline till they are updated as well. (Just don't know who to tell).

I must say this is only my second post so im not going to talk as if i am an expert with this game by any means.

  I expirienced your problem the first time that I ran the installer.  Now being that I do know about computers I noticed the problem Immediately.  So I uninstalled COMPLETELY and reinstalled the game and made sure not to check off the option at the end of the install to run the updater. This is just a minor problem with the game to go along with a bunch of others.  HOWEVER,  I have always been into RPGs, begining with the great Diablo, and continuing to Diablo II , so on and so forth.  This game is going to be a must have when the final version comes out. But up to this point I must say that there are a LOT of things to be tweeked, never-the-less I am completely sucked into this game because I know that it can become one of the best RPG's of all time and it is free. How can you beat that ?? 

In closing to your question , never be afraid to log on to these boards, ask questions, let your voice be heard, and dont be afraid to try and make friends while in the game.  Every person I have encountered in the game has answered my questions honestly and to the best of their ability and I think that is a credit to the set up of the game(advisors give minimal help, and make you ask other players). I thank everyone who has helped me to this point, they have given me the desire to become a true team player in this game, and indulge in a real RPG.

  By the way !!! IF you ever played Diablo II ( with or without the expansion ) and you think i might remember you gimme a holla !!! My names were Danablo , and Danable Lector . But those of you who have encountered me there might know me as Danable Lector LORD OF DARKNESS , KEEPER OF SOULS , GENERAL OF THE ARMY HEADED BY THE TRUE BROTHERS OF DARKNESS DANABLO AND MATTPHISTO !!!!  HAHAHA OH ITS BEEN SO LONG SINCE IVE GOTTEN TO ROLEPLAY AS DANABLE LECTOR ..... haha ohhhhh well my days of Diablo have passed however Plane Shift is the best up and comming RPG since then , and I look forward to RPing with all of you and making this a better gaming expirience than in previous years ..  Thanks to all and gimme a shout if you ever need anything.
