The 'bugger' debate is long since dead, and doesn't need to be revived IMO.

I would like to mention, though, that AFAIK, the intended environment is sort of PG.  Therefore, words like 'hell' and 'damn' and 'crap' should be acceptible, whereas worse words should not be.  I may be mistaken here, though.

It's funny, 'damn' is censored by the PS filter, but 'crap' isn't...

hrm maybe i'm wrong then.  To be on the safe side, just don't say anything the filter would censor.  Though that's a general guideline as the filter may not have everything it should.

Censoring damn seems a bit extreme though. That's barely a swear...

And it always makes it look like your saying something much worse.


For example, if stumped, I usually say something like:

...
Damn you.

Which comes out:

...
$%&! you.


Which is really much more offensive than if it just said 'damn'

Good point, I certainly agree with you.  Anyway most players leave the filters off.  I for one would certainly not chastize anyone for use of that particular word.
