1)  What time-zone do you live in?
     GMT+0/GMT +2

2)  How many GM events did you participate in as a whole?
     a) 0
      Never got around to do one... :-[

3) What Type of events fo you prefer?
     a) Role-play

4) Do the events last to long?
     Um...can't answer that since I've never been in one...

5) What do you dislike most when it comes to events?
     Same as 4)....

6) GM events are made so that the players have a 99% chance of winning. Is it a good idea to lower this chance, making it so that a player can loose?
     a) Yes, it increases exitement. [furthermore I'd like a challenge when I'll enter one, not just free gifts :)]

7) Small events always tend to be more realistic. Big events are always... big. Do you prefer Big epic events, or small events such as a woman in need of herbs?
     c) A mixture of both

8.) If you joined in one, do you enjoy GM events?
     N/A

9) GM events are random, cause otherwise it would be OOC. Do you prefer random events, or would you like to see a forum post announing one?
     a) I like it random, just as Role-play is supposed to be.

10) And at last, rewards. What do you tink about the rewards in the events. Think realistic for this one.

  d) Scavenger hunt, collecting items and bringing them to the characters requesting them.

  b) OOC intteruptions
  d) the times when they are hosted.
  e) Other: Getting no rewerd when everyone else gets an reward.

  d) Other: Depends of the kind of event.

Time to show you some results people! Counted all votes and unleashed some simplemath on it gives a clear insight on what the comunnity thinks about GM events overall. I'll also give a brief explanation of what we plan on doing with the results after discussing them with the GM team.

A majority of 62% answered "A" to this question.

2) How many GM events did you participate in as a whole?
  a) 0
  b) 1-2
  c) 2-5
  d) 6-10
  e) More.

A majority of 42% answered "B" to this question.

3) What Type of events fo you prefer?
  a) Role-play
  b) Fighting, hacking and slashing.
  c) Riddles and puzzle solving.
  d) Scavenger hunt, collecting items and bringing them to the characters requesting them.
  e) No preferance.

A majority of 40% answered "A" to this question. Followed directely by 33% of the votes for "D"

4) Do the events last to long?
  a) Yes
  b) No
  c) Some of them
  d) A lot of them, but not every one of them.

A majority of 38% answered "C" to this question. Followed directely by 33% of the votes for "B"

5) What do you dislike most when it comes to events?
  a) All the walking

A majority of 68% answered "C" to this question.

A majority of 56% answered "D" to this question.

Once again I would like to express my thanks to those that took the time and effort to answer the questions I asked. I will take a more careful look into the comments you all made and take theseresults with me to discuss with the team. Some of the actions taken after this poll will be explained some day soon.

Does the forum users that posted here represent the majority of Planeshift community? Or the majority of forum users?

I would consider this as a poll and it may not represent the interests of the majority.

And yes, Durkheim's ideas are not very coherent with reality.
