Rule clarification
« on: May 20, 2007, 07:31:41 pm »
Concerning the rule about guilds with hate-mongering philosophies:

Does this rule apply strictly to real world Religions/races/ethnicities/other philosophies, or does it also apply to ingame ones? (Example: Would a group of Diaboli organized against the worship of Talad and Laanx (and given Diaboli's weakness, who could blame them) be against this rule?) Either way, I would appreciate if the rules page be edited to avoid future need for said clarification.

It's a gray region - any OOC hate-mongering is strictly out of the question, but something that may seem IC may actually not fit into the world either. For example, Enkidukai randomly ganging up on Ynnwn would make no sense. Thus if you're going to do something like this, I think you'll always need clarification one way or another.

For specific examples, we'll wait for our settings team.
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

I knew that OOC ones were right out, and several IC ones, like the one you posted, make little to no sense. I just wanted to know if the IC ones that do make sense, like the one I posted concerning the Diaboli, were still against the rule.
