Velocity-changing Magic

Haste/Jump spells/potions/enchantments, etc...

This is not a wish or a suggestion, just a request to know what the path ahead holds.

I'm just wanting to know if this type of magic effect has been ruled out of the game by Talad and/or the devs/settings-team... or... if there are any plans for spells/potions/etc. that can temporarily change velocities (for either running or jumping) in the future?

This would also mean no more reason for speedhacks at all(even selfish reasons would be dismissed then), unless somebody really has a compulsion for cheating to even while being able to do something in the right way, prefer to do it in the wrong way. Though these types should definitively not be tolerated in game.

iirc there are these sort of things already available on the test server, which means that the code is there for them to be in game.  I don't see any real reason then why we wont eventually see them in game.

There are 'potions of speed' on cvs which make you run faster. They can be handy when testing but generally you just bump in to everything. THere are also spells that make you really dizzy (really) and that explode everything around. Does not mean these things will be in game.
When there would be magic to run faster, it would possibly be difficult to get or use, so cheaters would still take the easier route.

There are going to be spells for agility, stealth, etc. at least...that's what i've been told. Not quite sure WHEN it'll be enable though.
