Is this really worth playing??

ive been hereing some disscussion about server crashes and what not and i was thining before i download should i really play... :detective: :detective:

Hello!

What a strange question. Is there any "worth" in playing at all other than to have some fun. If you are into roleplaying then this game is probably "worth" playing. If you look for WoW-substitute you will probably be disappointed.
Well, server crashes are annoying but I'm sure that they will get less and less. The previous version 0.18 was quite stable.

also after each new version release there's bound to be a few bugs that set the server into crash mode but it's more stable now than it was when .019 just had come out, there was like crashes every 5 minutes then  ::)

No, it isn't really worth it if you are the kind of person who asks if it is worth it.  I'd recommend against trying it.

If you don't like what you see here, here is my suggestion: Buy a Dungeons and Dragons complete set(rules, world, etc.), I recommend Greyhawk. If you have friends to play with you, I believe it is worthier than PlaneShift or any other MMORPG or computer RPG.

I kinda agree. If your really worried about the game play then why try it? If you just want to try out a game to see if you like it then go for it. If you don't no one will yell at you for not liking it because we all have different tastes. But why ask? Anyone who likes it is going to say its fun and anyone who doesn't is going to tell you otherwise. Its up to you to make your own decision, not play because someone else plays it.

That depends entirely on you, and can not be answered in a simple way. It is like asking if it is worth watching a football game when the TV keeps cutting out. Some will tell you it was not worth watching in the first place, and others will tell you that any little bit you see is worth it, despite how much you might be missing.

It sucks at first but it's fun once you learn the ropes.  Keep in mind that the game is highly social in nature.
