I am running Ubuntu Feisty with:
AMD 3200+
Ati X800 with the basic ATI Drivers, Direct rendering: YES
1 gig ram

I can login fine and everything, but as i go in game it looks like this:

Any suggestions

It sometimes does the same when you blur the window then focus it again.

You should try to play on fullscreen (see in PlaneShift Setup programm).
