mining bug!

every time i try to mine it says you dont have the skill to mine that .
  im level two in mining and i tried mining iron,coal,gold
  it wont even let me try.

you have the message "You dont see a good place to dig"? or another one?

if so, maybe you are at the wrong place

Have you tried mining diamonds?  If I remember correctly that was the first item I was able to mine.

Most "minerals" should not have a high minimum level limit. Coal and iron shall be basics, IIRC. But you can try to arrange a meeting with a GM. If the "Cannot create petitions" bug is still there, you may have to ask in IRC, #planeshift-gmtalk

You did not say what hand pick was in, could be that, so try other hand, also you did not say how you typed it in, for gold it is /dig gold
The / is a must. Hope this helps.

I am not sure right now, but the system message should now explain the reasons better, e.g. that you "have no mining tool in your right hand".

if you can get on IRC there are usually always GM's around in there and you can do a /who game for a list of game masters curretnly online. good luck to you.

is the useful part. You enter this command in your message window. This sould show you Game Masters curretly online -- but note: Contacting a GM via "/tell" is not a "common" method, if petitions are working.
