Linux client prob with Ubuntu

hey i just downloaded the 32bit x86 linux client, im running ubuntu fiesty, i tried double clicking on the file once dl and i got this:

Cannot open /home/xen/Desktop/PlaneShift_CBV0.3.019-x86.bin: No application suitable for automatic installation is available for handling this kind of file.


erm wth?

how do i run this lol, thanks, im a bit of a linux noob btw

Did you make the file executable? The easiest way for newcomers to Linux/Ubuntu:

Right click the bin file, go to properties, select the third tab 'access rights' or something, and make a hook at the box at the bottom. After that, you only have to left click the bin file to bring up the installer.

solved it, actually i had to run it through the terminal with sudo, cant do it in the gui for some reason :/
