[This is a first attempt at a character introduction story. Please add comments as you wish.]
Jorl Seventeen was a male StoneBreaker.
His first-name derivated from his Great-Grandfather's name, Jorl. His Surname, is the age at which his mother and his father got married.
Jorl's father was called Arrius Flamel and he worked as a Sword-Smithy.
Jorl's mother was called Elena Ferrifiels and she was a magician.
When Jorl was born, he didn't know that his life would soon be covered by a dark cloud. As of the sixth birthday of Jorl, his father went out to by him the book 'Symbols of Yliakum', but never got back at home.
Alone, along with is mother in his little house in Hydlaa, he started wondering why was his father taking so long, until one of the guards of Hydlaa knocked at his door to give the terrible news that Arrius Flamel, husband of Elena Ferrifiels had died. His death had no physical explanation - He had no wounds and did not present any signs of poisoning or struggle. Jorl's life would never be the same again.
His mother got into a deep depression (which led her to go away from Hydlaa), and all that she said was that Jorl's father had died because of being unfaithful to Laanx, for not believing in him, as Elena did.
This, of course wasn't good for a six-year-old child who is highly immature and controllable, so Jorl became an extreme Laanx worshiper - he didn't want to end up like his father.
At the age of eleven, when Jorl had learned the basics of reading (which was quite rare at the time), he started reading books about the history of the God of the Glyphs. This story, although unknown by many, deeply turned him into a closed-mind Laanx worshiper - No other God should be better than Laanx, and no other God was to be considered a God.
Jorl was always an independent and revolted child. He surely had reasons for that. His father had left him at the age of four and his mother had been in a deep depression since that day, filling Jorl's head with religious stories.
But more was to come:
One day, while Jorl was talking to his mother, he noticed some books under the bed where she was all day. So, while she was asleep, he peeked into her room and took her books.
These books had dark brown capes and were shaped in peculiar ways. He opened them and read them, one by one. After reading them all, he was astonished. His mother was directly connected to Dark Magic, and some of those books had even been written by her. Jorl found a glyph inside one of the books and decided to try a spell. He read all the instructions from 'Beginning With Magic' and 'Dark Spells Volume I' and cast the first spell that he saw, without even remembering what such a spell contained.
The power emerged from the glyph, brought by the Dark-Way Crystal and was unleashed towards Jorl's mother and Jorl himself.
Jorl only woke up some hours later. The spell that had hit him was just a minor one that had made him faint, but the most powerful one had hit his mother, who lied down on the bed without showing any signs of life.
Jorl couldn't believe in what he had done. He had murdered his own mother without having any knowledge of what he was doing. He felt a tremendous blame for years...Until the day before his Sixteenth-birthday came.
In this day, Jorl found his father's diary in some old pile-stocks. He read it, calmly. It was full of memories of Hydlaa. Jorl, then, decided that he should not punish himself anymore, that he should move on. He went to Hydlaa.
[And now, the story is going on. Jorl is happy and has made friends, he believes in Laanx as much as he did before and he wants to follow his father's steps and be a Sword-Smithy. A life is yet to be lived and his life is yet to be destined.]
