Duraza walks into the plaza and takes a seat by one of the trees. After sitting for a while he notices a diabolo staring at him, so he gets up and appraches him.
"Any reason for staring at me?" Duraza says.
Orgonwukh takes a gulp from the mug he was holding before responding, "Hmm, well I just wonder brother..."
"Wonder what?"
Orgonwukh shrugs, "I was a witness of this...'commotion' about the gods recently..."
Duraza smiles darkly "And let me guess, you wonder if it was true."
Orgonwukh chuckles "No. Actually I just wonder what makes a man offend the so-called-gods in the open..."
"Well thats obvious. Hate."
Orgonwukh grins "Oh, so easy, eh? Well, hate can be very sublte, too."
Duraza clenches his staff looking at Orgonwukh curiously "I wonder if you understand what I was saying about the gods."
"Hmmm, let me reconsider. The gods are just mortals with great powers. And they force the citizens to act as they wish. When you cut off their support you kill the gods..."
"Basically yes."
Orgonwukh shrugs "So, why do you offend a powerful invisible entity in the open?"
Duraza pulls a book from his robes "The Book of Law" written on its cover "Because I wish to envoke the god's hate. I want to see their powers and learn how they work. All strengths can be found in magic. Think of it this way, Talad created the kran right? But he needed the crystal's help to do so."
Orgonwukh chuckles "I do not believe in books contents. History was written by religious fanatics. Lies within lies. I only believe what I see." Then he takes another gulp from he mug.
Duraza nods "I understand. Instead look at the world you see. Men who fight and try to become more powerful just for the sake of being able to kill. Yet they praise the gods for giving them life. For what reason then to bring death? The gods are laughing I bet. Laughing at the foolishness of mortals."
Orgonwukh grins "I agree, so still I ask you: Why do you offend them openly? Do you kill a powerful fighter by clashing into him? Or do you stab him in the back, rather?"
"I offend them openly in hopes that the mortals of this world will hear me. That they will understand the weakness of the gods and join me. To fight them we can not hide. And since their power is so unknown stabbing them in the back is immpossible. We know not their limits."
Orgonwukh nods "This is the way we Diaboli understand it. But faith within the other races is strong in these days. I think it needs more that some shouting at the plaza to confirm the citizens in this concern..."
"Yes I have realized this."
Orgonwukh shrugs "But who am I to judge this... I am not a god-killer, just a simple mercenary..."
"I am no god-killer either. However what I can do is destroy what connects gods to their people. Religion. But to do that I will need many. I still have few."
Orgonwukh chuckles "Destroying religion, eh? You seem not to be afraid of challenges..."
"Why fear the challenge? You'll never beat what you back away from....still massive numbers will be needed...unless...
Orgonwukh tilts his head "Hmm, I already asked the Menki who was with you ... Coneitic was the name, I think... What will you do once the gods are dead?"
Duraza smiles darkly "Well that depends on if I can truely kill the gods...If so I shall share their powers with all. All will live equally and from then on the fate of death will no longer exist. And I just had a brilliant idea..."
Orgonwukh looks curiously at Duraza while taking another gulp of liquor
Duraza looks at Orgonwukh "The followers needed. The only raes that serve no god. The diaboli and the kylcros. I can gather the two, and we can stand together against the gods. As our numbers grow others will join.."
Orgonwukh nods "I also know some Enkis who do not believe... But to get back to your idea of tricking death... what do you mean? You could choose an eternal life in death realm still..."
Duraza smiles darkly "According to the book I hold Death is not just a state of being but its almost like a diety itself. It is trapped within the Realm of Death but sometimes it escapes into the mortal Realm, and that is when someone dies. However there is a third Realm, that of the gods, free of death. That is where all people will live equally."
Orgonwukh laughs "Yes, a big happy family of immortals! How nice would that be?"
"Or at least of my followers. Not every mortal will come to my side but I shall lead those who do to this realm of the gods. I just need to find the way to acces it."
Orgonwukh chuckles "And this all stands in your book? Who wrote it, if I may ask?"
"It is said by a Xacha village I discovered in the Labrinyth that this book was written by a lost god. One named Tiren."
Orgonwukh smiles at Duraza "I think I understood your motives and the way you try to achieve your goals, brother. Well figured out, really."
Duraza nods "Then tell me, shall you stand with me? Or do you just ask from curiosity?"
Orgonwukh smiles wryly "I am always curious. Especially when it concerns religious matters. And since I am Diaboli, too, I see when the motives are not the ones spoken out..."
Duraza raises an eyebrow "Hmm...What are you trying to say?"
From that moment on both men speak in whispers for a while. Afterwards both nod their heads, agreeing on something before departing.
