how many RAM do you have ? what CPU? (ghz?) graphics card? these elements are good to include when you are having a problem :)

the loading of the world takes forever to the point of not doing anything, this is only a very recent probelm =>

does it take forever to log in or to change maps?
does your problem is related to this bug : http://www.hydlaa.com/flyspray_upgrade/index.php?do=details&task_id=445 ?

by my experience, i used to play with 512 ram and geforce 5200 before. it took about 1-2 mins to load. now with 2gb ram and geforce 6200 its about 5-10 secs..( 20 secs for bronze doors)

hope to have been helpful  :)

Is it all maps or maybe just Hydlaa?  You could check out the maps w/o grass; apparently that's a major slow-down issue.

I run PS on a similar looking Powerbook, and it'll take about 1-2 minutes to load the large Hydlaa city map.  Not to mention that I need to have everything at minimum texture and camera distance to be able to move around decently in large city areas.

  i use an ibookG4

  1.33GHz
  256MB
as for the graphics card im not sure my best estimation would be its got an ATI Mobility Radeon 9200 graphics processor with 32 MB of    dedicated video memory and AGP 4x support

never had any probs before though,
