Spice up training

 You go to trainer in weapons or armour, you say I need to train please, NPC what level sir/madam. Stat level. [ooc message, you need x PP] NPC That will be x tria please. Players agrees, NPC Holds out hand, player pays, NPC when ready challenge me. At this point you fight, when you have fully reached end of training, [First stage, same as is now] NPC yields. Of you go and fight monsters, to Finnish that stage.

 Magic same as above.

Crafting skills, same, but instead of fight, player has to make a item, on giving this item the level is trained up. [First stage of training, same as is now] Mining, this is a tricky one, only trainers are in town, no mines, so. possibly a rock is placed by them, player then has to dig for stone, on reaching end of training the player gets a stone, he has to give this to Trainer. [End of first stage of training].
Run your permissions at least once a week. You will be amazed what it can solve.

We're looking at ways to, as you put it, spice up training, and make it more interesting. Something very similar to that has already been thought of.

whatever we do is still a bit of a ways off, but it is coming.

How about letting players train (or "teach") other players skills if the other player has a lower skill? There could be a teaching skill and a whole teaching system!

don't get into that in this thread.  there are many many many many threads bout player to player training.
