What does this word mean? I see it has 40 hits on Google but I cannot find a definition. The context seems to imply it is a misspelling for suggested but maybe not.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's just a misspelling for suggested. If you look at the where the e, s, r, and a keys on your computer it appears that they're all fairly close and not hard to mix up... for lesser beings, of course.

Well, it is possibly a "false friend", a lame translation (assuming that a latin based word exists in several languages in a nearly same form). According to my available dictionaries, the german term "jemandem etwas suggerieren" should be translated to "persuade somebody of something".
