Musicianship and instruments
« on: July 08, 2008, 12:13:58 am »
So, I have skills in instruments and my character is somewhat of a bard-type (are there bards in whatever the world is called), so I was wondering if there is a 'playing your instrument' feature like in LOTRO. Basically, how does a character music skill affect the game?

To my knowledge, music is still unimplemented, so any type of playing is done through /me's and imagination.

I would recommend expanding your knowledge of the settings if you plan to be a bard as it requires poetic skill to a certain extent and what would one have to write about without the settings. Normally a degree of familiarity of history slightly higher than that of a layperson would be expected. Even if you only intend to be a musician it would still be advisable to be familiar with it as it is the only feature of Planeshift that grows at such a fast rate.
I suggest the statue of Laanx gets turned into a statue of Parallo <3. An NPC could never replace the huge hole he left in my heart when he died  :'(
