I ran the updater and now when I try to log on I get the message "The sector you are trying to load can not be located. Please check your log for details." Any way to fix this?

Hi, Caarie,

I now download the new version 4.03. Can I do so, because I am afraid to use the updater with my MacPPC. There were always problems.

Thanks

there is no diffence in using the updater or doing a clean update, other then the time it takes to download a whole new install.

Caarie,
its so how I said, this unfortunately updater no works.
I have run it, and nothing has changed . When I try to open the client, it comes with 4.02.

Please dont sent me links with topics how to makeit in console. I dont know to work with console.

Thanks

( I hope when i have made all the work with a new install that the client runs finally good on my mac. 7 months suffering in PS is enough.

When I ran the updater, it downloaded "psupdatermacosx.zip" into the /PlaneShift directory. I then had to manually unzip that file and replace the old updater with the newer one. I also manually replaced the two other files from the download. Then when I ran the updater, it downloaded the update and updated the game. The lack of any sort of visual indicators on the updater is confusing. Open /Applications/Utilities/Console and you can see any status messages the updater sends.

It did not work for me in the first place aswell. It said I'm running the latest version.
I got it simply fixed by using the fullintegrity option with the updater.

Like this:

Code: [Select]
/Applications/PlaneShift/psupdater.app/Contents/MacOS/psupdater_static -fullintegrity

It did not work for me in the first place aswell. It said update is already availble.
I got it simply fixed by using the fullintegrity option with the updater.

/Applications/PlaneShift/psupdater.app/Contents/MacOS/psupdater_static -fullintegrity

the option is -repair not -fullintegrity all what you did was a normal update as that command is not valid.

Sorry I didn't explain it fully, but If I just run the updater (and did this a few times) it for sure
gave me the message Im running the last version already.

And I do not want to confuse anyone else now, and might sound stupid but it did start the update somehow.
