I'm dying here D: Help?

I've been trying to download this game for MONTHS! Seriously D: MONTHS. Not one, or two, but more than three! 

In my old (very old) Compaq PC it downloaded an installed and updated, but the system was too old to support its images etc etc.
In my New Dell Windows Vista, huge memory, laptop. It barely gets to 17% of download (not installing it, downloading it). Yesterday it actually got t 40% in a fast rate. I was SUPER happy, but then it said it couldn't read the source

Is it something wrong with my laptop? I just can't believe that an Old (2000) computer could download a file faster than a laptop, with a LOT more memory space. D:

where are you downloading it from?

The direct download links. Some like Clever Technologies doesn't work at all.

Internode was the one that yesterday got to 40% and then the source couldn't be read.
Xordan never gets past 3%
PsMirror rarely gets to 10%

I'm downloading the Internode again and it's in 10% now.

Finally, at 10:26 PM (local time) The download has been completed!!! Now I'm doing the updater thingy, I've replaced the false with true, and now I'm updating for the missing file. Which is taking a while, should it be taking a while?

man im in the exact same position...apart from the 3 months thing....but i am very computer iliterate..i fail at computers epicly, but like games haha. anyway after searching for about 4 hours for the false that i needed to change to true. i found it, and it is taking along time to update...but i was warned of that so am not worried.
