client and setup won't start

When I click on the icons in Start--Programs--Plane shift or in the install folder, nothing happens.
The waiting mouse- hourglass- runs for a second or two, then... nothing.
I run Windows, and the updater worked fine(I did get the .dll error, but fixed it) and all files have updated supposedly.
Have re-downloaded and re-installed and restarted the PC multiple times, and... nothing.
NEED HELP!!!

Give this a try and tell us what the output is:

Start -> Run

Type CMD and press Enter

A black box should appear, in that box type:

"C:\Program Files\Planeshif Steel Blue\psclient.exe"

including the "", hopefully it will give you some idea of what is going wrong.

I tried what you suggested Pizik (as I'm having the same problem) but that doesn't seem to work either.

The suggestion was to let us see the output of the command

I have the same problem and there is no output in the cmd prompt.  I run the file and it comes right back to a flashing prompt, with no output at all.  Update runs fine but setup does not.

Okay heres a tid bit.  I can run the pssetup.exe if i use runas and a diff user. 

runas /user:username pssetup.exe

I created a fresh user that has never logged in and it worked.  Im not sure what its finding when I logon as normal.  Im still looking into this.
