I am wondering if there is any effective purpose other than extra practice for the alpha, beta and delta blades seeing as any of these can be turned into brittle blades. I had some alphas I was heating when I crashed and the were red hot by the time I got back on, eventually they became brittle blades the normal way. I might have been able to return them to a middling stage but I did the wrong thing. Perhaps it is my low level but the quality change seems pretty random between steps and repeating the last stage before assembly seems to be the only way to ensure better quality final product.
Is this the intended functionality, am I missing something or what?
