Imcorrect cofiguration of client?

when i open the updater, it says
'the application failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. reinstalling the application may fix this problem.'

i reinstalled the client and got the same message.
need help.

(PS: i used the 04.03 version)

The link is to the old board ...a blank.
Could someone relink this or answer the question...I'm getting the same error message.

Fixed it by downloading/installing vcredist_x86.exe from Microsoft site.

run the updater a few times one of the mirrors it seems is not in sync, also you can try running the updater with --repair after the end of the shortcut.

the above link will not help in this case anyway.

I just installed this game, and it said incorrect configuration of client as well, BUT I had to install the Visual C++ 8.0 Runtime to get it to work.
