umm... anyways, I got the game to work!! I had to DL a program called \"quick and easy\". This program modifies a lot of older games, including fate of atlantis, so that they work on XP. If your interested go here

*Ponders why some clever guy doesn\'t make a DOS emulator for windows. That would run the games without nitpicky DOS stuff, and as a window program not a console, so you could do stuff like CopyPaste stuff back and forth.

But DOS can be downloaded for free and leagally...

He wasnt and it isnt. It is my belief that MS-DOS is still under the old Microsoft licence rules. I dont think they really bothered about a few people using pirate copies to run ancient games though.
There are of course clones of dos which can be used free and legal. http://www.google.com

i know there are some open-sourced dos emulators that run in linux, but since they\'re open i think that there\'s also a win* version ....probably ...if not just compile it from source
