Clacker Madness
« on: August 12, 2009, 03:24:10 am »
I don't know exactly what happened since I joined in the middle and the server crashed near the end.  ;D

A bad wizard named Zinalin stole a wand from Climaki and turned almost everyone nearby into a clacker. I hoped defeating him would force him to give back the wand and turn us all back but he only turned me into a clacker. At the end however, Climaki gave him a humanoid glyph for the wand and turned us all back.

If someone turned you into a clacker irl would you try to kill them before you found out if they could turn you back or not?  :P

Indeed, there is a cure for everything. I'm sure there are far more powerful mages than him and I tried to kill him because if he died, we could take back the wand.

Fine. However sometimes the best rewards come from thinking things out and not killing. Some events might have better rewards depending on the outcome. Listen to what is going on around you. The roleplay might include killing sometimes but another story line might be developing with a much better outcome.

That is true but judging from the personality of Zinalin's words, he seemed like a stubborn mage who acted like a child, not willing to compromise, his description was not even developed at all. Plus the first time I spared him, he turned me into a clacker. You should consider the thoughts of the characters around him. Ditiloff is quite the impatient one and would rather take back the wand by force. Anyway, I do not understand how Climaki was free to run away as a clacker and also take the humanoid glyph with him. Not to mention Malco was standing 50 feet away from all that was happening and no guards came to stop him. It was a fun event all aside, although it could have been more in-depth rather than a 5 minute idea.
