[RP] The Staff of Sillamon

[Sillamon]

A Blind elderly dwarf stands outside of the Red Crystal Den. He was starting to get hungry and was not having much luck with telling tales for trias so he took out his tun cup and began to beg as he sometimes does. He meets a familiar voice - that of a child he had met in Kada El's recently while telling a story to the crowd.

(21:22:30) Sillamon holds out his little tin cup and gives it a shake. (21:22:43) Sillamon says: "Alms for the poor ... Alms for the poor" (21:28:09) >Tinwei Havefor greets Sillamon Sallow. (21:28:29) Tinwei says: Hiya Mista Dwarf! (21:28:40) Sillamon says: Oh hello there maam (21:28:52) Sillamon says: I recognize your voice (21:29:01) Sillamon says: But I dont know your name. (21:29:41) Tinwei says: Oh, my name is Tinwei an' yours Mista Dwarf? (21:30:08) Sillamon says: "Sillamon my dear. Sillamon Sallow" (21:30:24) Sillamon shakes his little cup, "Have a tria to spare maam ? " (21:31:11) Tinwei digs into her pockets while saying "I don' 'ave much Mista SIlla but ya nice so ya can 'ave some." (21:31:42) Sillamon smiles with a small tear in his eye, "Oh Xiosa bless you maam!" (21:32:19) Tinwei grins finding 2 circles in her pocket. " (21:32:35) >Tinwei gave Sillamon 500 Tria. (21:32:58) Sillamon listens to the coins fall into the cup and then shakes it again. (21:33:06) Sillamon says: "Sounds like one .. no two circles " (21:33:25) Sillamon says: "You are so sweet. That you dear" (21:33:50) Tinwei shrugs. "I'm jus' a child. I do what I do." (21:34:23) Sillamon says: "A child with a heat of gold I'de say. " (21:34:45) Sillamon says: "How old are you if I may ask ? " (21:35:09) Tinwei says: Oh ten cycles old. In Nolthir years of course. (21:35:43) >Cangad Canaich greets Arkys Melykiel. (21:38:05) Tinwei tilts her head still avoiding looking at his sewn eyes. "You are very...elderly. How long have ya been by yaself?" (21:39:08) Sillamon chuckles, "Well some say Im as old as the crystal." Sillamon points upwards. (21:39:44) Tinwei looks up. "Wow, tha's old!" (21:40:22) Sillamon smiles brightly, "Nah.. Im about as old as dwarves get. " (21:40:48) Sillamon says: "Old old enough to have a head full of stories... and yound enough to remember most of them" (21:41:36) Tinwei widens her eyes. "Tha's still a long time!" (21:42:08) Sillamon blushes, "Well, tellin stories is how I keep my mind from fading away. " (21:42:45) Sillamon points to his head with his little finger tapping it a few times.

(21:43:19) Tinwei sighs. "If I 'ad a good memory I would tell stories when I was by maself too."
(21:45:56) Sillamon smiles, "Oh ? were you by yourseld often ? "
(21:46:34) Tinwei beams. "5 years an' still livin'"
(21:47:51) Sillamon says: well thats a lot of story tellin.
(21:48:03) Sillamon says: I'de say your a very bright girl.
(21:49:12) Tinwei leans in slightly closer speaking more grown-up. "I'm actually very smart. I just don't show people that I am."
(21:49:44) Tinwei says: I've read a lot of books and learned a lot of tactics in battle.
(21:50:18) Sillamon nods, "Books on tactics ? Even adults have difficulty with such books"
(21:51:16) Tinwei shrugs. "When you're by yourself in the house surrounded by books you have to force yourself to read them before dying of boredom."
(21:53:00) Sillamon says: "It sounds like your parents were rather well educated"
(21:53:39) Sillamon notices more footsteps and shakes his cup again.
(21:53:55) Sillamon says: "Alms for the poor .. Alms for the poor"


Along comes a Menki wearing a cloak. His features are well hidden.

(21:54:49) THUG1 looks at the cup, then at Sillamon "Everyone passing here is already broke. Perhaps I can show you some greener pastures"
(21:55:13) Sillamon says: "Green pastures ? That sounds rather nice."
(21:55:27) Tinwei snaps out of a daze. "Wha?"
(21:55:34) Sillamon says: "Do you like green pastures Tinwei ? "
(21:56:46) Tinwei says: Umm....I guess. They're pwetty.
(21:56:56) THUG1 says: Then follow me kind sir...I will show you where to make tons on tria
(21:57:03) Sillamon says: Hold on
(21:57:20) Sillamon points to his own eyes, "Sir i cannot see"
(21:57:38) Tinwei looks up at THUG1. "Can I come?"
(21:57:43) THUG1 nods "Then take my hand and I shall guide you"
(21:57:59) Sillamon says: Perhaps you shuffle your feet when you walk so I know where you are ?
(21:58:07) Sillamon says: Oh good. thank you.
(21:58:14) Sillamon holds out his hand.
(21:58:44) Tinwei gives a double take of THUG1's look and looks suspiciously at him
(21:59:08) THUG1 peers at Tinwei under his cloak "This isnt the nicest place for a young girl to be. But it will do good business for the gentleman"
(21:59:47) THUG1 takes Sillamon's hand and begins to lead him off
(22:01:15) Tinwei squints a moment longer at THUG1 before slowly nodding and following fingering the weapons under her shirt
(22:02:08) THUG1 says: come now sir
(22:02:33) Sillamon steps towrds the Menki's voice holding his hand
(22:02:43) Sillamon says: "Thank you sir. Xiosia bless'

Sillamon is let by the cloaked Menki into an alleyway after being told that be would be led to a more profitable place to beg. The child - Tinwei follows.. Apparently she is not the only one who is curious about this.

(22:03:39) Caira watches the three, perplexed.
(22:03:45) Sillamon steps on a charm flower as he follows the Menki blindly.

Little do they know a cloaked Ynnwn is is crouching around a corner - Waiting to spring at a moments notice.

(22:04:03) THUG2 jumps out attempt to grab ahold of Tinwei and cover her mouth with his other hand
(22:04:05) >THUG2 stands up.
(22:04:10) Sillamon says: "Here sir ? "
(22:04:16) Sillamon shakes his little tin cup.
(22:04:33) Tinwei moves forward then gets pushed back into THUG2 making muffled screams
(22:04:59) Sillamon steps back slightly surprised, "Whats that sound !"
(22:05:30) THUG1 puts his hand over Sillamon's mouth and whispers "So what do you have for me today?"
(22:05:30) Alliva in a hush tone to the woman whats going on here ?
(22:05:39) THUG2 holds a dagger to Tinwei's neck as he tries to move both of them over
(22:06:01) Sillamon shakes his stubbly little arms franticly
(22:06:03) Alliva says: i dont like this
(22:06:17) Alliva says: hey whas going on here
(22:06:22) Tinwei sees Alliva and widens her eyes
(22:06:25) THUG2 glares at Alliva as he positions Tinwei between them
(22:06:27) Caira growls softly, watching THUG2 carefully.
(22:06:52) Caira raises her hands in a surrendering gesture. "Hey, hey. Calm down."
(22:06:52) Alliva snarls slightly and give a slight eye to tinwei
(22:07:00) Alliva says: so whats going on
(22:07:18) THUG2 points the dagger at Tinwei's neck silently
(22:07:28) Caira puts a cautioning hand on Alliva's back, motioning to THUG2. "I think we have a ... situation."
(22:07:33) Alliva shakes his head to the big guy
(22:07:55) Alliva says: miss please i will handle this or rather tinwei will
(22:07:55) Sillamon's eye blinks shedding a small tear.
(22:08:16) THUG2 presses the dagger to Tinwei's skin as his grib on her tightens
(22:08:21) Caira narrows her eyes at THUG2. "Careful now. Don't hurt her."
(22:08:32) Alliva motions to tinwei remmember what we been practiceing

Tinwei is mugged and stands still with a knife to her throat. Sillamon is robbed of his two posessions.
 
(22:08:44) THUG1 reaches into Sillamons clothes and feels a book, then tries to remove it
(22:08:50) Caira tilts her head, addressing Tinwei. "Dun' worry hunny. Its going to be fine."
(22:09:08) Tinwei growls under THUG2's acknowleding Alliva. She creates a pebble and throws it backwards hopefully into THUG2's eye
(22:09:10) Sillamon graps for his book to no avail. "You ! give me that book back! its personal!"
(22:09:45) THUG2's head jerks backward as he looses his grip on Tinwei and holds his eye. He stargers backward
(22:09:53) Caira grabs Tinwei and runs.
(22:09:54) THUG1 shoves Sillamon at Caira and Alliva and turns "RUN!"
(22:09:58) Alliva blasts a fireball at the menki run now
(22:10:05) Tinwei squeaks and gets caught by Caira
(22:10:07) THUG2 runs off
(22:10:40) THUG1 grabs at Sillamon's stick
(22:10:50) >Sillamon gave THUG1 a Quarterstaff.
(22:10:53) Sillamon shouts "Evil man !"
(22:11:07) Sillamon says: "How could you take my walking stick !"
(22:11:14) Sillamon says: "I cannot see !"
(22:11:48) Sillamon shouts "Xiosia help me ! "

A and a very kind Menki guides Sillamon to safety.

(22:11:50) Alliva says: sir dwarve
(22:12:00) Alliva says: im not going to hurt you
(22:12:07) Alliva says: the young one is safe follow me
(22:12:15) Sillamon turns towards Aliva's voice. He looks up exposing his sewn shut eyes
(22:12:29) Alliva says: please come with me
(22:12:34) Alliva offers his arm
(22:12:37) Sillamon says: "yes sir"
(22:13:16) Alliva says: hes fine
(22:13:16) Caira gently tilts Tinwei's head, checking for any cuts. She sighs, relieved. "Well, looks like he didn't get you. You might get a few bruises, though." She eyes Tinwei's neck, critically.
(22:13:47) Alliva lets the dwarves hand gose slowly here we are back to the young one
(22:14:01) Sillamon shakes as he speaks ,"How could someone be so evil ? "

A crowd of concerned citizens forms and attempt to find out from the two victims as much information as possible.

(22:14:03) Alliva says: may i enquire what this is all about
(22:14:08) Caira turns between Tinwei and Sillamon, thoguhtfully. "So, anyone care to tell me what in the crystal is going on here?"
(22:14:18) Caira nods at Alliva's suggestion.
(22:14:28) Sillamon swallows hard.
(22:14:30) Tinwei frowns. "Stupid cloaked figure.." She mutters
(22:14:45) Alliva says: what was it about
(22:14:47) Caira tilts her head, but says nothing.
(22:14:48) Sillamon says: "We were just talkin.. the young lady and I"
(22:15:16) Caira nods slightly. "And?"
(22:15:30) Tinwei says: An' the stupid cloaked figure came ova and promised Mista Silla somethin' but I don' remember
(22:15:30) Sillamon says: "And someone said he would take me to greener pastures .. because ..'
(22:15:41) Tinwei says: Oh yeah that
(22:15:50) Sillamon holds his head down somewhat embarrased, "This isnt a good place to beg"
(22:16:08) Alliva says: no probably not althogh i wonder who they were
(22:16:14) Alliva says: but you both seam unscathed
(22:16:18) Tinwei pats Sillamon on the back. "Nowhere is. Every city has it's dangas."
(22:16:30) Sillamon says: "Thanks to you sir"
(22:16:37) Tinwei grins. "Did ya see me poke 'is eye out?"
(22:16:46) Caira can't help but smile.
(22:16:49) Alliva says: you done well tinwei
(22:17:02) Sillamon steps back with a horrified expression, "Oh dear ! tell me you didnt"
(22:17:09) Alliva says: your just lucky i turned up when i did
(22:17:24) Alliva says: she had a knife to her throat
(22:17:28) Tinwei says: Not completely silly! Jus' ta get 'em off me
(22:17:40) Caira smiles to Alliva and nods. "Thanks for your help."
(22:17:58) Alliva says: not a problem i couldn't let my student get beeten up after all
(22:18:27) Sillamon says: Student ? Your a teacher sir ?
(22:18:43) Tinwei says: 'Es teachin' me how ta throw rocks!
(22:18:49) Alliva says: i have been teaching tinwei a new spell for a few days

(22:19:40) Caira shakes her head to Alliva, murmuring, "I believe the damage is already done."
(22:19:50) Sillamon says: "No sir. I used to see quite fine .. for most of my life in fact"
(22:20:04) Alliva says: still a healer may least be abe to give you back some of your vision
(22:20:19) Caira motions gently to stitches across Sillamon's eyes. "Perhaps. These sort of things are hard to say."
(22:20:26) Sillamon says: "My eyes were poked out one night. I was passed out after drinking heavily"
(22:20:35) Alliva says: ah not good
(22:20:44) Alliva says: but still there maybe a way
(22:20:55) Sillamon says: "Unless you have some eyeballs"
(22:20:59) Alliva says: i have heard of people being able to see through crystals before
(22:21:01) Sillamon smiles innocently
(22:21:19) Alliva says: im sure i have meet someone that had a crystal eye before
(22:21:28) Caira nods. "Emmara?"
(22:21:34) Alliva says: but it was ever such a long time ago
(22:21:52) Sillamon says: Perhaps we could try that one day .. Right now I think I just need a good stiff drink.
(22:22:09) Alliva nods to th pub then
(22:22:17) Caira considers Sillamon quietly. "Aye, I'm going to pass out if I don't sit down soon."

(22:23:12) Havuik looks around
(22:23:12) Sillamon says: The pub sounds good to me.
(22:23:25) Sillamon says: The book was my journal.

(22:25:06) Havuik looks at Tinwei concerned and then to Sillamon "You were robbed sir?"

(22:26:35) Havuik looks shocked and walks over ot Tinwei. He looks concerned and says sharply "Are you hurt?"
(22:26:47) Tinwei shakes her head. "No Mista Hav.."
(22:26:50) Caira shakes her head gently. "I checked. She'll be fine."
(22:26:54) Alliva says: tinwei was actualy the hero shes just bit shaken up
(22:27:08) Tinwei grins. "I hit 'em witha pebble though!"
(22:27:09) Caira tilts her head to Tinwei, bemused. "Just a few bruises."
(22:27:14) Havuik smiles "Sound about right"
(22:27:42) Alliva says: yeah if you come across a shady character she cracked him right in the eye
(22:27:55) Havuik looks at Caira "Thank you." He glances at Tinwei with a grin "She still suprises me at how well she can take care of herself"
(22:28:09) Tinwei giggles at Alliva's comment
(22:28:10) Havuik nods "You get a good look at the guy?"
(22:28:13) Caira smiles faintly.

(22:29:51) Havuik nods "Hmm well seems like good info." He look at Sillamon "What'd they take?"

(22:30:09) Alliva says: its all i can say about them but they retreated fast as they could
(22:30:17) Sillamon says: I dont care so much about my walking stick.
(22:30:23) Sillamon says: I just want my journal back.
(22:30:30) Tinwei says: Well afta bein' hit in the eye and gettin' a fireball chasing them....well ya know
(22:30:32) Alliva smiles and passes the dwarve a new stick

(22:30:41) Havuik looks to Sillamon "They must have no honor. What would they want with a walking stick and journal?"

(22:31:03) Sillamon shakes his head, "They are pure evil if you ask me"
(22:31:08) Alliva says: i think they were more scared of getting hit with the walkin stick
(22:31:25) Tinwei looks at Sillamon. "What's so important in the journal that they want it?"
(22:31:26) Havuik nods to Sillamon "I agree. Dwarf do not worry. I will find your attackers. Only wished I was there when it happened"
(22:31:44) Caira tilts her head, directing her attension to Sillamon. "Can you describe your journal to us?"
(22:31:51) Alliva says: im just sorry i couldnt actualy stop it totaly but was more concerned about these 2
(22:32:03) Sillamon says: "well Tinwei that journal has personal information in it. I suppose it was more sentimental"
(22:32:05) Caira smiles, trying to encourage him. "It might help us get it back to you sooner."
(22:32:10) Alliva looks at the dwarve and tinwei

(22:32:49) Caira tilts her head. "Any distinguishing markings?"
(22:32:49) Sillamon says: the leather was made from Tefusang hide.
(22:33:02) Alliva says: a common tefusang ?
(22:33:11) Sillamon says: Yes, there was a picture burned into the front of it.
(22:33:12) Alliva says: or ones out by the bronze doors
(22:33:19) Sillamon says: It was a picture of a sword.
(22:33:29) Havuik nods "Aye, well that helps a lot"
(22:33:40) Havuik writes a note down on a piece of parcment
(22:33:42) Tinwei thinks. "I'll try ta find it for ya Mista silla."
(22:33:48) Alliva says: was it still its original colour ?
(22:33:52) Sillamon says: "I cannot say what sort of tefusang hide.."
(22:34:09) Sillamon says: It was tanned slightly... a brownish color.
(22:34:11) Caira pauses. "Was it treated by a leather maker?"
(22:34:15) Sillamon says: But thats an old memory.
(22:34:27) Sillamon says: It coul have tarnished over the cycles.
(22:34:30) Havuik looks at Alliva and points to the dwarf's eyes silently
(22:34:42) Alliva says: he wasnt always blind mate
(22:34:53) Alliva says: or he wouldnt have been able to have a jurnal in first place
(22:35:03) Havuik looks at Sillamon, embarrassed "I know"
(22:35:21) Sillamon says: Its ok sir.
(22:35:29) Caira offers Havuik a small smile, whispering, "You couldn't have known."
(22:35:31) Alliva says: but there is still hope for his sight as ive already went into
(22:35:45) Tinwei crosses her arms listening to the adults talk
(22:35:52) Havuik looks at the crowd "Forgive me." He bows "I am Commandant Havuik of The Brigade. "
(22:35:59) Sillamon smiles and turns towards Alliva "You thinks so ?"

(22:36:59) Kairith plays with one of her daggers testily, looking at the group, "Which of you was robbed/"

(22:37:10) Havuik nods to Caira "Pleasure to meet you" He looks to Sillamon "What might you name be master dwarf?"
(22:37:14) Sillamon says: "A commander ... Xiosia is with us indeed"
(22:37:36) Sillamon says: "I am Sillamon sir. Sillamon Sallow"
(22:37:48) Tinwei points to Sillamon for Kairith. " His journal got stolen."
(22:37:58) Sillamon says: "And my walking stick"
(22:38:10) Tinwei says: And I got a knife pointed at me. Though I took 'em out witha pebble *she grins*
(22:38:12) Alliva puts out his hand here take this one
(22:38:15) Havuik smiles and bows his head "Pleasure to meet you Sillamon, although I wish it wasn't this way. You have no need to worry, we will get that journal back. Now where was the robbery?"
(22:38:32) Kairith nods curtly, eyeing the two fenkis interestedly before turning to the dwarf. "The question is more like, who were you robbed by. Any recollections?"
(22:38:37) Kairith says: *menkis
(22:39:13) Havuik looks to Kairith "We went over that. Seems like they were cloaked and a menki and either a Ynnwn or Diaboli"
(22:39:31) >Tinwei Havefor nods in agreement with Havuik Keleiw.
(22:39:42) Alliva says: both unconfirmed but its wha it seams like
(22:39:43) Kairith nods, a pretty smile playing about her mouth. "Good. Any evidence at all, or are we just running with that."
(22:39:47) Stashka shouts: ergggggggyour such an idiot!
(22:40:05) Sillamon says: well there was by journal - which is somewhat unique.

(22:40:22) Caira flinches at the yelling.
(22:40:40) Kairith listens intently. "If there were four of you, wouldn't you suspect the robbers to have a harder time."

(22:43:08) Kairith rolls her eyes, grinning to Havuik prettily. "Very well. This handsome menki seems to have things under control."

Tinwei shows Havuik the spot where the crime occurred while Alliva and Havuik continue to talk to Sillamon.

(22:43:42) Havuik looks at Alliva "Why don't you take Sir Sillamon to the tavern?"
(22:43:57) Alliva says: we were going to be heading that way
(22:44:10) Havuik nods "I'll be right up"
(22:44:17) Sillamon nods his head, "I could use a good strong drink"
(22:44:30) Alliva says: you want this stick ?
(22:44:40) Alliva says: i know its no replacement but it will help for time being
(22:44:42) Sillamon holds out his hand
(22:44:53) Alliva passes the stick to sillamon
(22:44:55) Sillamon says: "That is so kind of you sir'

So the remaining party heads to the Tavern where they try to relax after the unsettling experience. Alliva and Havuik offer Tinwei and Sillamon a drink. For now its seems all Sillamon can do is to wait and hope that Havuik, Alliva and the other concerned citizens have some luck with retrieving his journal.

We were having some fun the other day in a casual RP. There is some er eh .. *suggestive language* in here . So if you find suggestive language offensive you may not want to read it. I think its still within the PG13 area though. Some sections had to be edited out as the humor - though only suggestive might not be appropriate for the boards

Sillamon is wandering through the plaza doing what he does when times ar tough. Togdar notices him and starts jumping over him and eventually lands on him by mistake.

Through the fangs about twenty paces" He pauses and thinks for a moment, then continues "We stopped and a small mound when we saw a slain kikiri upon the ground. Once more I recall the stew - the aroma that beckoned us to stop work for the day....

(01:42:35) Sillamon whispers, "You found it ? "
(01:43:02) Havuik nods "I think"
(01:43:10) FENKI looks back at Havuik "We are in unguarded territory. Not a safe plae."
(01:43:22) Sillamon holds the shovel out
(01:43:37) Sillamon says: Sorry maam. I'll keep my voice down.
(01:43:55) Havuik nods "Okay. I'll dig here"
(01:44:15) Havuik removes his some of his plate armor
(01:44:15) FENKI looks around, drawing her daggers
(01:44:34) >Sillamon gave Havuik a Shovel.
(01:44:42) Sillamon hands a shovel to Havuik
(01:45:22) Havuik takes the shovel in two hands and presses it into the ground, using a foot when needed
(01:45:27) Havuik shovels the dirt aside
(01:45:53) Sillamon listens closely to the sound of dirt sliding from the shovel

A number of items are uncovered including some Dark Claymores, A horned helmet,  a pan flute, and some glyphs.

** EDIT:  Elaborated on the battle that took place as the original description was much too vague. I was exhausted and rushed it.  Also added the healing that followed.


Three thugs then appeared over the hill. The first one THUG2 , bore a pair of blades . He shouted at the party to stop. Behind him was THUG1 - a cloaked figure with a helm, LadyThug - a female thug who's race was difficult to determine.  Havuik was shocked to see them appear while FENKI expressed disbelief.  THUG2 ordered THUG1 and LadyThug to take out FENKI first. Havuik grip the shoved firmly as FENKI began to growl. THUG2 advanced towards FENKI , and then Havuik swung his shovel at him. FENKI's hands and daggers began to glow with a visible electric charge and she threatened them. THUG2 fell from the blow to his back as LadyThug slashed at Havuik cuttng his shoulder and sending him back a few steps.

Sillamon stood there helplessly hearing the rusting and fighting around him. He was not about to stand there and let Commandant Havuik get killed. But what could a blind dwarf like himself do ? He recognized THUG2's voice and turned to face it. Holding his staff like a bat he charged forward blindly and swung in THUG2's direction.  The staff was blocked and grabbed. Sillamon let go and lunged forwards with his hands open and tackled THUG2. A lucky attempt. THUG2 tried to shake Sillamon off but was not successful. Sillamon clung on to him with all is strength, then swung his fist hoping for a lucky shot. He connected with THUG2's face but within second was thrown accross the field. He landed with a thud and a groan.

Meanwhile Havuik continued to battle with LadyThug and THUG1 with FENKI. FENKI got stabbed in the side by THUG1's sword as she was in the middle of casting a spell. A large amount of electrical energy left her hands as she touched THUG1 shocking him badly.  The battle continued with no resolution in sight. Havuik is hit by THUG2 and falls over as THUG1 twists his blade making FENKI cry as she moved away and fell to the ground. Quickly she surrounded herself with protective barrier of flame.

Slowly Sillamon stands up, staff in hand and listens carefully. He hears Havuik whimper in the distance as Havuik's ear is cleaved off by LadyThug and turns to face his voice. THUG2 two orders his fellow thugs to take the unearthed treasure and fell.  Recognizing THUG2's voice Sillamon grips his staff pointing it forward and charges blindly. He slams into THUG2 knocking him off balance slightly.

Again he stands amid the chaos with his trusty staff and listens for another opportunity to help as LadyThug begins to launch arrows. The first one is shot at FENKI but misses. The second at at Sillamon. Havuick attempts to warn FENKI and Sillamon but to no avail. An arrow finds its way into Sillamon's chest. Sillamon falls and dangles for a moment from Havuik's hand.  Furttunately it is not a fatal shot. He lands on top of the unearthed treasure that they had found. feeling a cool blade handle under his body he manages to take a sword and slip it into his sack. The battle continues to progress, arrows flying, fireballs and electricity being exchanged.

Again Sillamon hears a familiar voice, that of the man who originally offered to lead him to greener pastures. He stands again and tries to face THUG1's voice. Havuik is struck by an arrow and faulters. He continues to battle with LadyThug valiantly. THUG2 attempts to kick FENKI in the face as Sillamon attemps to estimate his distance from THUG1's voice. Havuik chops at LadyThug's head but meets her saber with a loud clang.  THUG1 prepares to slit FENKI's throat as Sillamon points his staff forward and charges - screaming as he runs. He smacks into THUG1 and bounces back somewhat loosing his balance. On his face a small grin begins to grow. Havuick attempst to chop LadyThug's hand off but does not succeed. She then tries to stab at his chest with a dagger that was concealed in her sleeve.

THUG2 grabs Sillamon by the back of his collar as THUG1 puounces on top of him - knocking him to the ground. THUG1 takes out a knife and carves the word "DEATH" into Sillamon's forewhead and Sillamon flails his arms franticly screaming in pain. THUG 1 then orders THUG2 to finish off FENKI. THUG1 then inspects his knife work and grins with a pleased expression. He then flings Sillamon out of his way.

Havuick then puts a long sword to LadyThug's throat and cuts it deeply  sending her to the ground. Seeing this THUG1 says to Havuik, "I thought murder wasn't part of your little treehouse club'. Havuik glares at THUG1  and THUG2  and shouts "What is it you want ! Just get out of here !". Sillamon digs his staff into the ground and lifts himself up.  he stagers towars THUG1's voice again. "Haven't you done enough to the poor dwarf? " Havuik shouts.  THUG2 insists that Havuik back away from LadyThug who looks like she's barely alive.

Lady Thug staggers towards the treasure reaching for a Dark Claymore as THUG1 turns and slashes Sillamon's throat. Sillamon falls to his knees with his hand over his throat. Blood sprays out as he gasps for air.  The three thugs take the unearthed treasure and flee - apparently satisfied with the degree of injury that they had inflicted.


 (02:38:26) Sillamon looks at Havuik though worried eyes and smiles despite his fear.
(02:38:35) Sillamon says: "Im sorry this happend sir"
(02:39:30) Havuik shakes his head "No it's not your fault. But we need to make sure you get to a healer." Havuik looks to FENKI then back to Sillamon, thinking what to do
(02:40:26) Havuik swallows and reaches around Sillamon to try to pick him up "Come on, we gota get you to the healers tent. I'll be back for the fenki"

(02:41:22) Sillamon points to his sack
(02:41:53) Sillamon says: I managed to get two of the swords that we dug up
(02:41:59) Havuik picks Sillamon up, and throughs him over his shoulder. His free hand grabs the sack. He looks to FENKI and mutters something to Laanx"

(02:42:45) Havuik nods "We need to get you healed first. I didn't do this for a reward." He looks to FENKI and says "I'll be back for her"
(02:42:47) >Sillamon gave Havuik a Ruby-encrusted Dark Claymore.
(02:43:25) Sillamon says: "What about her ?"

Havuik then scoops up Sillamon in his arm and runs to the medical tent by the Laanx temple. He shouts for help on the way hoping to attract a healer but the town appears to be empty.

(02:49:34) Havuik places Sillamon down on the bed "You're in the healers tent now"
(02:50:09) Havuik looks around and puts pressure on Sillamon's throat
(02:50:09) Sillamon feels a pillow touch his head as he is lowered carefully
(02:50:21) >Sillamon Sallow takes a seat by Havuik Keleiw.
(02:50:43) Havuik shouts out the tent entrance

(02:50:54) Havuik shouts: Help! Need a healer!
(02:51:04) >Sillamon Sallow takes a seat by Hydlaa Sanatorium.
(02:52:05) Havuik looks around not knowing what to do. He says to Sillamon "Everything will be alright. Keep pressure on this wound"
(02:52:12) Sillamon throat continues to bleed and his complexion turns pale.
(02:52:33) Sillamon places his hand on his own throat and gasps, "Ok sir"
(02:53:08) Havuik looks around and begins going throught crates aggressively, looking for bandages
(02:56:03) Sillamon begins to look tired as his grip begins to weaken a little.
(02:56:35) Havuik knocks over the crate and opens the next one, he rips out bandages as he rushes over to Sillamon
(02:57:15) Sillamon's hands slides off his neck and hangs to the side. Sillamon's eyes continues to look around.
(02:57:45) Havuik places the bandages on Sillamon's throat and tries to wrap Sillamon's hand over it "Keep this on it!" His voice shakes a bit
(02:58:11) Sillamon tries to nod but can barely move his head.
(02:58:43) Sillamon blinks
(02:58:45) Havuik sighs, seeing Sillamon "Wait!" He wraps the bandage around Sillamon's neck gently, but firm enough to stay on. He says with a raised voice "I will find a healer! You will make it out of this!"
(02:59:06) Havuik says: Don't say anything, conserve your strength I will be right back!
(02:59:10) Havuik runs off
(02:59:26) Havuik shouts: Help! WE need a healer!
(03:00:02) Raskog shouts: i'm not a real healer, but where are yoU?
(03:01:20) Sillamon looks around the tent. The room begins to grow blury and Sillamon's mind starts to wander. He begines to sing in his mind the words to the stoy of Lady Mine."

Moments pass and soon Havuik returns with a healer

(03:03:08) Havuik says: Here!
(03:03:12) Havuik says: His throat has been cut
(03:03:12) Karenina says: Ah, poor one...
(03:03:22) Karenina examines the dwarf quickly and carefully
(03:03:27) Havuik looks at Karenina "Please, heal him. There is no need for swords here"
(03:03:37) Sillamon's eyes roll towards Karenina "Lady Mine.. your back"
(03:03:40) Karenina says: This may be beyond my powers, good menki, but let me try...
(03:03:55) Karenina smiles gently at the wounded dwarf, stows her blades and gets to work.
(03:03:58) Havuik says: I must go rescuse someone else. Try everything you got!
(03:04:28) >Thenimellon Shadowstepper takes a seat.
(03:04:29) Havuik runs off
(03:04:59) Sillamon's eyes flutter as they are washed by a shower of lavender and white light.. then red, then orange
(03:05:05) Karenina murmurs: flames, to knit the wound together...yes, perhaps it could work...

(03:05:41) Karenina murmurs again, as if in a trance: Rocks, to protect the wound from further hurt...
(03:05:49) Sillamon's neck gash begins to close up and a scab begins to form.
(03:06:02) Karenina praises Talad and continues to cast...
(03:06:31) Karenina says: Defensive wind against enemies, for both of us...
(03:06:32) Sillamon shouts "Xiosia bless you dear!"
(03:06:48) Karenina smiles with relief to hear the strength in his voice
(03:07:03) Karenina says: And how do you feel, good dwarf?
(03:07:16) Karenina puts a hand on his wrist to feel his blood beating...
(03:07:17) Sillamon's neck begines to look much better. the scabs flake off revealing new skin.
(03:07:32) Sillamon opens his eyes widely and begines to speak
(03:07:41) Karenina listens very carefully...
(03:07:50) Sillamon says: "Oh I thought I was going to die. Thank you dear:
(03:08:07) Karenina nods very thankfully to hear him speak yet again.
(03:08:27) Karenina says: But my good dwarf, what happened to you?
(03:08:37) Karenina says: Shall I go find the one who hurt you so grieviously?
(03:08:41) Sillamon rolls over and attempts to sit up
(03:08:48) Karenina narrows her eyes and looks about fiercely
(03:09:17) >Karenina Deandre dropped 8 Potion of Healings.
(03:09:26) >Karenina Deandre dropped a Charmflower.
(03:09:45) Karenina says: Call for me, good one, if you need me for any reason.
(03:09:48) Sillamon sits up startled
(03:09:51) Karenina says: I am Karenina.
(03:09:51) >Sillamon Sallow stands up.
(03:09:58) Karenina says: Sip those potions when you feel weak.
(03:10:25) Karenina shakes her head with concern, and dashes out.
(03:11:27) Sillamon takes the potions and beings to drink slowly. Feeling uneasy he sits back down. "That Fenki that was with us.! Oh I hope Havuik remembered her"
(03:12:07) >Sillamon Sallow picked up 8 Potion of Healings
(03:12:21) >Sillamon Sallow picked up a Charmflower
(03:13:00) >Sillamon Sallow takes a seat.
(03:13:56) Sillamon takes a potions and dabs his wounds with it, then hobbles off in search of a safe place.


Sillamon's demeanor has changed as a result of this horrid encounter. He has begun to let go of his pacifism and to become more of a fighter.

Caira, one of the concerned citizens who originally began to investigate the beating of Sillamon is brought to an open field near the howling well and bound with ropes. She is laid upon the grass and a groffel is sent to Rigwyn with a note indicating that a "present" is waiting near the howling well.  Rigwyn gets the note and rushes towards the well. He cloaks up in a red Laanx Priest robe after going over the hill on the side of the road.

He meets up with the cloaked Menki who brings him to his prey. Rigwyn tries several times to force her to turn her back on Xiosia and convert to Laanx but she resists. She is flipped face down into the grass and Thug1 carves the word "PENANCE" into her back and then slits her throat.

Sillamon still wanders abound Hydlaa with a nasty scar on his forehead that says "DEATH".  Thug1 and Rigwyn agree to have Alliva and Tinwei watched for fear that they too might attempt to investigate the robbery.
