in the past, it was because the place was moderated heavily, so people got upset that their silly little forum game things got removed, but I got rid of all that nonsense rule stuff earlier in the year. the stickied thread is drastically smaller than what it used to be. people are pretty much free to post what they like so that it doesn't violate the main forum rules or the three topics outlined in the stickied thread. want to make a silly little nonsense thread? works for me. i don't care. want to make a thread about one of them random forum game things people like to do? go ahead.
just use common sense. just randomly typing in numbers or what not post after post to simply increase your post count will be removed, but if you want to have a little fun and play a forum game or what not it's fine by me.
if i recall, the whole reason that this section disallowed those things in the past was due to hosting constraints, but as i asked back at the beginning of the year when we were thinking about making the changes to the rules of this section to open it up more, we don't have to worry about those issues as much, so the rules were lightened.
i did make a post about how the rules changed. buttttttttt, well, things that have been a certain way for many years simply don't change over night so i guess there are many who think this section are still being run under the old way, even though it isn't.
