Stuck

I absolutely love this game, but it is almost impossible to play it. My computer crashes every half hour or so, and I cannot run the updater to fix the problems that my version has. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, only to find that it does no good. Most of the portals do not work, and I find myself getting stuck in a region because the passages do not work either. I am constantly finding myself appologizing to the mods that have to get me back out of the "stuck between regions" spot. My character died, and cannot get back to Hydlaa now that the once working roads stick me in a null space with no way out except mod relocation. This game is fun, but I seem to be one of the select few who are constantly finding themselves in glitches and such. Before you consider the more fun things on the wishlists, I ask that you please think about fixing this problem for good. So sorry to bother you!

Please be certain that nothing is more important for us than to fix especially such issues until next release. Not being able to walk freely is surely one of the worst disappointments for a player. Unfortunately this happens only for few combinations of hardware and software (mostly related to 3D graphic chipsets, drivers, and operating system specifics), therefore it is hard to test if just the testers don't have such a faulty system.

In the worst case, take a break until Version 0.5.x appears. Most maps work in a different way there, and issues should have been fixed then. Don't give up on us, don't let us down - development ain't easy, but it's progressing.

Kinda double there but ok. Try to update your graphics card. or install the latest drivers for it rather.

Many of the problems you are suffering from can probably be fixed by making sure you have recent video drivers.
