server problem

i cant reach the role playing server, is says that its failed. i have read before the solution but dont know how to unzip and other details so plzzz help

Which PlaneShift version did you install (complete file name of the executable)?
Did the launcher offer you to update?
Which version number does the window title of the game show?
The current roleplaying server is http://planeshift.zeroping.it/ (62.173.168.9) - check its website to see if it is working in this moment when you want to log in.

i installed the 32bit for windows (planeshift-vo.5.4.exe torrent)
The launcher didnt offered me to update  and the window title does not show any version number lol
Also,the page for zeroping is in italian.
the game  shows me the skylab server which is close so how can i reach zenoping?

The site http://planeshift.zeroping.it/ - which is the game server website - is not in italian.

The PlaneShift launcher should offer you updates. You may have to wait a bit after starting the launcher. Or try to start it again a few times.

The PlaneShift game client (the program which starts after you clicked "PLAY" in the launcher) should show a version number.

To help us even better helping you, you would have to know how to look into XML files and show us their content. Interesting would be the "updaterinfo.xml" in PlaneShift's "application data" folder of your computer account, and "servers.xml" in PlaneShift's "data" folder in the installation directory.

Anyway, the "updaterinfo" shows a list of "version name" (0.5.1.3,  0.5.2.0., etc..)
the "servers.xml" just shows me the two servers.the skylab host and the ezpcusa.
Anyway, i ll see what can i do

The "PlaneShift launcher" is the application you start from your Desktop or your Start Menu icon (pslaunch.exe).

The updaterinfo.xml contains a list of "<version name=...>", yes ... we are interested in the whole list (especially the highest number), not just a short sample. There might be two files (one in the install directory, and one in your user account's application data directory - the second counts: "%APPDATA%\PlaneShift\updaterinfo.xml").

Currently the highest number should be: 0.5.4.10

Light the pslauncher on windows doesn't show the version number at all just says planeshift launcher, just pointing that out.
