Why "iPad", Mr. Jobs? Not so selfish!

The "Neofonie GmbH" presented the "WePad" today: Slightly heavier, but more CPU power (even multitasking capable), including webcam and 2 USB ports, based on a Linux/Android OS.  \\o//

Who is going to develop the touchscreen gesture interface for PlaneShift? ;)


The german tomshardware website already reported about it in their "News" area. It is planned to ship it sponsored by newspaper publishers, to substitute some part of the expensive printing and distributing of papers.

When I first read about this about a month ago, I had the same exact thought.

The iPad is an awful name. The WePad is worse.

i'm not getting either, partly because of the name but mostly because things like those are only white elephants to normal people (and i'm a normal people). can't afford them anyway. though the wepad's definitely more badass. thank god apple has a real competitor now.
