vcredist_x86_08 Error upon installation

Hello im new to the community i did some looking into this error an noticed there was allready a topic about this error but no solution was givin.

Downloaded 32 bit for XP (am running xp)

and followed the error to the files directory and tried to manualy install/update it and it has wont install properly. I am thinking I need to download another version of vcredist_x86 but cannot seem to find an available download anywhere to stick it in to the PS folder and re try installation.

Any help would be greatly appreceated, would love be in game and learning the ropes!

I also had a vcredist install error when installing ps, but running the ps installer the second time solved the problem.
Also you might check in control panel - add and remove programs - if you have already vcredist and then uninstalling it first.

Hey Cron Thanks for the reply, I have gone to Microsoft but their download pages dont seem to be up at the moment. Not sure whats going on there. I have re run the installion a multitude of times with the same result unfortunatly heh. Just cant seem to get it past vc++ 8 install. I managed to find a download for vcredist_x86 the 2005 1st SP. But im not certain thats what i need. So I dont think it will do me any good. If I cant find a soultion to it through a new vcredist DL I'll just reinstall the client in whole.
