Details, Details, Details.  :sorcerer:

You are obviously suffering from a graphics failure.

So, what is you operating system, you CPU, and, most importantly
your GPU and the driver version?

I also am having this problem.. Registering and logging in, patching and launcher are all just OKAY!.. But after on.. The character screen is fucked up at the moment, and creating a character Doesn't! work for me either, it just crashes my game after half a minute or something. I can write the name in the box sometimes, but the other times it's either not visible or it instantly crashes.

I'm having a MSI-VR601 laptop, bought it 2 years ago (For school), running on:
OS: Windows Vista
HDD: 120 GB
RAM: 2 GB
VideoRam: 378 MB (<- I sometimes am having problems playing games on my actually even worse pc, for some reason.. Either it's just because it's a laptop, or it has no Pixel Shader 2.0 or something...)
1,73 Ghz Intel Celeron Dual-core

I really don't know if it's just me, or if anyone else with a normal pc is occuring this aswell. Atleast i don't have problems with the launcher & stuf, ain't it?

Hi there.

According to google, this notebook has an Intel GMA X3100 graphics chip.
Sadly, Intel graphics drivers seem to have a rather bad OpenGl implementation.
Maybe a driver update would help? http://www.hydlaaplaza.com/smf/index.php?topic=36449.0
