If models or textures get exchanged completely, all chars of the same race will change (as happened to e.g. Dermorians and female Nolthrirs and dwarfs).

But if only a few variants got added, the old chars can probably not be changed much by a Game Master. My Dermorian char once lost his green face tattoo during an upgrade and was not able to get it back.

Possibly the only trait which is changeable by Game Masters is the color and maybe style of head hair (not the whole Enkidukai fur or Kran skin; and Esorono's gray skin was probably a testing exception). Search for "Madame Snorial" in this forum and try to ask for her return.

Some race models do have trains that can be changed by the GMs. For the sake of the Madam Snorial mentioned we had to stay IC with the event. While it is possible to change the color of a Kran or the fur color/pattern of an Enki for the reach of the Madam Snorial events changes of this level were deemed to be OOC so we didn't do them.

Some race models we can change hair style and or color and for some races we can change some facial features or add or take away tattoos. But for any GM event we have to keep things on the IC level. I'd say any change to a character model will have to be restricted to what could reasonable be done IC.

So then I wish for a body artist to return the lost green tattoo to my Dermorian... or he could have visited one in a village far away. Shall I make a petition? Can't hurt, you will either agree or deny.
