Problem to login
« on: January 09, 2011, 07:53:52 am »
Well, I downloaded the game directly from the site of PlaneShift and I'm having some problems. I can not get into the game. He always locks the PC altogether and have to reboot. He never passes the loading bar. Since I've been reading around and saw nothing like that. Oh, and my PC has the necessary requirements. Can anyone help me?

Well the first thing, is check the setting in the PSluanch, some people might say it wont affect the first loading bar, but to me it seems like lower graphics makes it go by faster, if that doesnt help, try clicking on the window a lot, it may seem stupid, but forcing the window to go (not responding) helps me a lot when i start lagging, it kinda forces it to try to unfreaze..
thats all i got

if the computer crashes entirely you've issues with drivers or the hardware itself (undervoltage, power dispersion, overheating, not proper card fitting in the slot, faulty hw...)
also would be better posting the actual hardware because not always a card which seems to have an higher model number is actually better.

Try wait few minutes before restarting. Client can be compiling the shaders which often takes up to 100% of the processor and everything seems to be freezed for some time (depending on processor speed it can be from about 1 minute up to about 8 minutes) so try wait at least 2 or 3 minutes before restarting. I can also suggest you to set the client into windowed mode so you can see system time. When the time changes in some intervals, then wait.
