Welcome to the forums, Merry Christmas.

known fixes for common issues — § 11: Insert "PlaneShift.Items.Instantiate = false" into planeshift.cfg in your user specific Application Data folder (exact location depends on your operating system).

What else does it affect? I.e. are there any negative results because of it?

instancing objects when they are a lot allows to save gpu juice but if your card doesn't support enough shader arithmetic operations that's what happens.

Item instancing, when supported correctly, can improve the rendering performance. But it may only be measurable for thousands of copies being visible at the same time. For a waysign here or there, you won't notice by "Frames per Second" if it is enabled or disabled.

Unfortunately not. Those ghosts are created by the currently used model and animation system. The team is planning to exchange that "soon™"...

I used to log out to fix that floating crafting bug. But if one has a mount - mounting and unmounting also fixes that.
