Oh...such old chars..yeah, I guess back then I was still far too shy to talk to others in game...or duel with you. ;) But you never know who you run into Suno... ;)

But thats just it, the past. Not now, when it would matter.
LOL

Of course I'd bring the characters back in a state of not annoying the piss out of people with duel requests. Haha.

there should probably just be a character wipe. I mean it is technically an Alpha, right? So people should expect this periodically with changes... The 'new levelling system' is a pretty damn big change.

That fear has finally been put to rest.

I have been here intermittently for a while, so i suppose it is almost the same thing since my characters are from 2008 and i have been staying fairly quiet when i have been on in the last few years so i do not disturb more active roleplay threads.

My primary character is a Nolthrir with a rather quiet nature (and so far no one on my old friends list has been on anyway) so there does not seem to be any legacy problems with just continuing on as if there was not a gap.

My second one was a Diaboli which could be a problem since they are no longer a player race though i suppose i can just play that part down and say i am a short very dark skinned, tailed and horned Ynnwn with a playful free-spirited nature instead of the grim bruiser personality the Ynnwn seem to project (i had the illustration of the Diaboli in mind when i made the character instead of the 'shiny oil black skin' written description so i suppose it fits better anyway as long as her stats are not retconned to the fighter-biased Ynnwn ones (which they have not been so far as i can tell).  The funny thing is that the 'inspect' still says "you see a female Diaboli". ???  I have edited the changeable part of it to say the Ynnwn stuff above as a 'second glance' description though.

Bringing back old players is great! Bringing back old characters I'm more neutral on. I think if people do their thing well and have fun doing it, and create fun for others, then things are great. But I also think part of the fun of creating a character is the opportunity for the character to organically develop based on the events you don't control, and the decisions/outcomes you allot to others. So can we bring back old characters, while keeping things organic?

Certainly. When you first made that character, you made it with a backstory and personality (or maybe sometimes you didn't). With the community in place today, you can certainly bring back these types of character the same way you did before and have them grow in whole different ways.

You just can't create Diaboli anymore. But the race Diaboli still exist and those already created a Diaboli stayed a Diaboli. So you can change your description back ;)
